So Answer Me Already!

Yes, the exclamation point is there to make you even more ticked off than you already are on a Monday morning.

Post your comment to the question(s) posed in this blog's header, and the most creative + honest response will win a $50 Starbucks gift card. Grande coffee to help you get through a on at least a few Gran-crappy-days (depending on level of suckiness).

If you post anonymously, please just leave a name (or nickname) as a sign-off, and come check back early next week to see if you've been named the winner.

Remember: The earlier you answer the better so you've still got sleep in your eyes and resentment, defeat, or Sunday night's dinner in your gut.

You get to your desk and realize everything you didn't get done last week and regret everything you didn't do over the weekend.

It's a matter of adding insult to injury. Not only do you have to get out of bed unconscionably early, but you have to do so after having slept in the previous two days and gotten out of the habit. And not only do you have to cope with the subway to work, but the dispatchers and motormen are also having a Monday and so the train gets delayed. And when you get to work, not only do you have to deal with all the stuff that didn't get done last week, but your boss and co-workers and other people you need to deal with to do it are in as rotten a mood as you are.

Because it's the furthest away you can be from not having to kowtow to people of lesser intelligence and character.

Mondays don't suck! Mondays are awesome!

You know that feeling you get when your team gets knocked out of the playoffs, and after the shock sets in, you realize that it's really over and you have to wait until next season before you can start enjoying life again? That's what every single Monday feels like.

There is no time in life when you'll be further away from the next weekend, than on Monday morning.

Mondays suck because it's the start of a weeklong affair of getting annoying, pointless emails like this one. Go kill yourself.

1. its really far from new episodes of the wire, cbs sunday morning, 60 minutes, and EPL games

2. because monday reminds me of the mama's & papa's and the bangles

3. during football season, it means that espn will be overrun with nonsense about monday night football all day

Mondays only suck when they are not Mondays–when they don't follow a work-free weekend. And then they still really don't suck any more then other days because every day is the same. So everyday is half-suck or half-not-suck, depending on how optimistically you look at things.

Monday wind ups are far worse than the Sunday wind down. Sunday evenings have so many great things happening during the year. NFL and Baseball have big time games on Sunday evening. Many of the award shows happen on Sunday evenings. You can wind down with a nice dinner and a few beers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you wind up Mondays with a few beers you might have what doctors like to call a little bit of a drinking problem.
Commuting sucks. Monday evening is also one of the worst days of the week for cool stuff to happen, so you don't have nearly as much to look forward to. I love Sunday Fundays. Monday is clearly the worst day of the week and Monday morning is the apex of its awfulness.
